6-Week Asian Cooking Master Class
You'll learn to cook wholesome meals with a range of fresh herbs and spices. The basic course outline is: Week 1 - Beginners introduction to identifying and cooking with herbs and spices, creating fish sothi, chicken varaval, and sweet potato poriyal amongst other things Week 2 - Making simple curry pastes and masalas, working with the likes of Goan prawn curry, Hyderabad aubergines, lamb bhuna, and egg omelette curry Week 3 - Getting a start on soups and snacks, such as lentil mulligatawny, oxtail soup, semolina pilaf, and onion bhajias Week 4 - Cooking rice and noodle dishes, such as Chettinad chicken biriyani, Mamak mee goreng, and Penang char kuay teow Week 5 - 'Weeknight' dishes to master - including vegetarian, meat and seafood such as spicy lamb chops and homestyle beef curry Week 6 - Draw upon all your knowledge to create the perfect meal with the Chef's assistance, then invite a partner or friend along to share your success!
You can bring along a couple of drinks to enjoy with the food you've prepared in each class (but not before dinner - we need all your concentration!).
The course ends with a demystifying tour of the major spice outlets of Perth. These are life skills you'll never forget - spoil yourself and your family with great food all the time!
