Cradle Mountain Guided Walk - 3 Days
The Cradle Mountain Lake St Clair National Park is home to Tasmanias iconic mountain. One of the first National Parks in Australia, this wilderness area is a must see for visitors to the state who wish to see the rare beauty Tasmania has to offer.
We will discover the abundant wildlife, rare and unusual vegetation and spectacular scenery in this area. To climb Cradle Mountain is our ultimate goal depending on weather conditions with plenty of other challenging options also available.
Upon entering the park, you will be astounded by the lakes, waterfalls and vegetation that abounds. You will need to be reasonably fit for this trip but no special skills are required.
Our experienced guides will help to bring the Tasmanian wilderness alive for you with their local knowledge and enthusiasm. During the guided walk, you can expect to follow the following itinerary: * Day 1 Arrive at Launceston, transfer to Cradle mountain National Park and commence walks through the temperate rainforest, * Day 2 Walk to the serene shoreline of Lake Dove and begin an ascent of Cradle Mountain, * Day 3 Complete walk and return to Launceston where the trip concludes.
The 3 day trip includes 2 breakfasts, 3 lunches, 2 dinners, 2 nights basic cabin accommodation (4-6 share), all transport by private vehicle, National Park fees, expert wilderness guide, emergency communication and first aid kit and wet weather gear (Goretex jacket and overpants).
