Dinghy Sailing Lesson For Beginners
Join us for a sailing lesson on Sydneys Balmoral Beach - an ideal spot to catch the prevailing north-easterly sea breezes! On the day of your dinghy sailing lesson, youll be taught a series of techniques to get you out sailing within two hours!
As you are met by your experienced instructor, we will start your session with a brief theory session, and a capsize recovery drill before you hit the water. Next, its time to learn how to turn the dinghy and how to sail before hitting the water for some practice.
Our experienced and enthusiastic instructors will either be in the dinghy with you or alongside in our safety boat. The best thing about this beach location is that the local geography acts as a compressor funnelling winds at an average of 5 knots greater than on the coast and the beach is still protected from large swells by Sydney Heads, making it the perfect place for beginners and experienced sailors alike.
You will be surprised at how easy and quickly you will be able to enjoy sailing. For those with more experience we can offer a course tailored to your needs.
We will supply all equipment, including a buoyancy aid and wetsuit. Your sailing course notes from the day are available after your dinghy sailing lesson and will be emailed to you so that you can continue to practise your new found skills at your own leisure.
