Sri Lankan Cooking Class
Your cooking class instructor is Paul van Reyk who wants to help Australians experience the richness of the cuisine of his native country, Sri Lanka. Paul has taught at the Seafood Cooking School and Accoutrement, runs a catering company and often reviews South Asian as well as running foodie tours to Sri Lanka.
On the menu: * Prawn Curry * Pumpkin Curry - a Sri Lankan favourite * Snake Bean Mallung - mallungs are quick fried vegetable accompaniments that are lightly spiced * Dhal with Spinach - a vegetable curry using red lentils and spinach * Coconut Sambol - sambols are accompaniments like salsas, or relishes, or pickles * Saffron rice * Coconut Roti This is an activity where everyone gets involved under Paul's guidance to product a sensational feast! When the meal is ready, well sit down as a group and enjoy our delicious meal.
