Surfing Lessons - Five Days

This experience consists of five surfing lessons, which you can choose to or choose not to take on consecutive days. On each day we will meet you at our shop in Byron Bay or pick you up from your accommodation in the local area.

We then take you to one of Byron's many local beaches for your surfing lesson! Due to the constantly changing wind, swell and tides we choose to search for the best waves each day, just like real surfers!

The beaches we surf at are a short drive from the hustle and bustle of the main area. We always opt for the less crowded beaches around Byron Bay and Lennox Head so you get the most out of your surfing lesson.

During your surfing lesson your instructor will be in the water with you, helping with correct paddling techniques, teaching you how to catch waves and how to turn, and talking about wave selection and understanding the elements of the ocean. We also teach surf safety and awareness.

Our instructors go through thorough in-house performance assessment and training sessions on a regular basis and are hand-picked for their passion and enthusiasm for surfing. Great instructors make a world of difference!

On the first day of your surfing lesson you will get a taste of what it's like to live the life of a surfer as we cruise around in search of pristine, uncrowded beaches! Once we have found the perfect location you will learn to surf or improve your surfing technique on fun, easy waves.

On the second day you will get a little more serious about your surfing. On this day you will practice the skills you gathered on the first day, aiming to learn faster and surf for longer.

The third day will see you practicing to make perfect! Three surfing lessons are a must for guys or girls who want to keep surfing and get good at it!

On days four and five you will find yourself improving on every wave - learning turning techniques, improving your timing and getting more speed!
