There are few adventures visitors to Australia and New Zealand that
offer the same adrenaline rich, pulse pounding experience that Tandem
Skydiving provides. Soaring through the air from your choice of either
8, 10, or 14,000 feet, you can enjoy free fall until your chute opens
and then a breathtaking view until you return right back where you
started, about five minutes of parachuting enjoyment after the chute
deploys. You can even choose to have pictures taken of your experience
to share with friends and family back home. Friends and family are
even welcome to come along and watch as you take a leap into the blue
sky.
This is a perfect introduction to skydiving for beginners. There is a fifteen minute training session when you arrive, followed by you're boarding the craft along with the Tandem Master. These adventures are one on one, so you'll receive personal attention and training, although there maybe other groups on the aircraft to socialize with as you fly to your chosen altitude, enjoying the view the entire way. Finally the big moment arrives as you take the leap, secured to your Tandem Master. At 5,000 feet, the Tandem Master opens the chute so there is no guesswork, no need to worry at all. And for the next five minutes, you can simply enjoy the view as you return to earth safely where you adventure began. The Tandem Master is in complete control the whole time and has your safety in mind at all times.
Located less than 100kms from Perth CBD in the historic and scenic town of York, the skydiving adventure takes place away from urban areas and congested skies and the area favors good weather with the farmlands of Avon Valley receiving only half the rainfall of Perth. Because of this, the experience is rarely canceled, but if it is due to weather, it is rescheduled for more favorable conditions. Those who wish to take part of the skydiving experience must be at least 14 years old, with a parent or guardians written consent for those under 18. Also there is a safety weight limit of 95 kg. Casual clothes should be worn as well as sunscreen if needed. There are facilities on premises while you wait, including a cafe for refreshments, as well as pool, so bring your swim wear to enjoy the outing, make friends, and take part in a breathtaking experience. So even have a few options to have digital photos or a DVD made in order to capture the fun!
