Whale Watching Southern Migration - Child
During the months of September-October each year the humpback whales swim their annual migratory path from the warmer tropical waters down the eastern seaboard to their feeding grounds in Antarctica. The waters off Sydney are on the way and whales can be found riding the southerly currents some 15 to 30 kilometres out to sea.
There are a thousand or so of these majestic mammals passing by our doorstep throughout the season. Other sea creatures to spot include several species of dolphins, pilot whales, false killer whales, sperm whales, sunfish, pelagic birds including the incredible endangered wandering albatrosses, the largest of all seabirds with a wingspan in excess of 3 metres.
PLEASE NOTE: THIS TOUR RUNS FROM MID SEPTEMBER TO END OCTOBER ONLY. The price quoted is for one child, aged 8 - 12 years.
Within season we have a 95% success rate of spotting whales!
