Wildlife Cultural Tour and BBQ Dinner
Want to go on an Australian bush walkabout? Go on a wildlife cultural tour and journey through our wildlife park under the expert guidance of a park ranger.
During the tour, indulge your senses while learning about bush tucker and bush medicine. Depending on the season, you'll taste different types of bush nectar and learn about which native Australian plants can be used to cure colds and headaches.
Discover the tradtional ways to repel insects using sap from a plant that can be found in the Australian bush. Touch, taste, feel and smell our native flora and be amazed at the hidden qualities that the Australian bush has to offer.
Your ranger will then take you on a comfortable bush walk to visit the ancient Aboriginal sites of the Darkinjung people who once hunted and lived in the area. As you visit a hand stencil cave and ancient rock engravings, your ranger will take you back to the Dreamtime with stories of their culture and lifestyle.
Next, return to the park house for a sumptuous BBQ dinner of steak, sausages and salads, accompanied with bush sauces and dressings. During the nature tour, dont be surprised if you are accompanied by some of our friendly animals.
In addition to our very special dingoes, wombats, koalas and flying-foxes, there are at least 180 species of native animals that are roaming freely in our pristine sanctuary. These include various species of kangaroos and wallabies, as well as emus, bandicoots, possums, goannas, cockatoos and kookaburras.
Finish your visit with an interactive mammal and reptile encounter, allowing you to get up close and personal with some very special creatures. Bring your camera for memorable photo opportunities with Australian fauna and flora.
