Windsurfing Lesson

Join us for a windsurfing lesson on Sydney's Balmoral Beach - an ideal spot to catch the prevailing north-easterly sea breezes! On the day of your windsurfing lesson you'll be taught a series of techniques to get you up and windsurfing within 2 hours.

As you are met by your experience instructor, we will start your session with a brief theory and on land demonstrations in sailing across the wind, turning round and the all important 'secure' position' before you hit the water. After some practice on the water, the lesson will continue with the following topics covered - correct sailing position, controlling the direction with the rig, basic tacking and gybing, self rescue and more!

Our experienced and enthusiastic instructors will either be on the water with you or alongside in our safety boat. The best thing about this beach location is that the local geography acts as a compressor funnelling winds at an average of 5 knots greater than on the coast and the beach is still protected from large swells by Sydney Heads, making it the perfect place for beginners and experience sailors alike.

You will be surprised at how easy and quickly you will be able to enjoy windsurfing. For those with more experience we can offer a course tailored to your needs.

We will supply all equipment, including a buoyancy aid and wetsuit. Your windsurfing course notes from the day are available after your windsurfing lesson and will be emailed to you so that you can continue to practice your new found skills at your own leisure.
