Yacht Racing Social Session

Yacht racing is serious business and requires much organisation. Assembly is at our base from 12.

45pm. Upon registering you will be allocated to the yacht for the afternoon.

After the general briefing at 1.00pm participants will board the yachts and receive a short safety briefing from the skipper.

Yachts then proceed to the starting area, usually Farm Cove next to the Opera House. Sails are hoisted and participants are given instruction on the crewing duties.

All on board are encouraged to have a go trimming the sails and steering the yacht (subject to weather conditions). Alternatively, relax and enjoy the experience.

During the race the yachts will be passing many famous landmarks, historic building, islands and beaches. Re-boarding back at the base is at approximately 4.

00pm. You can come on your own or put together your own team.

No previous sailing experience is required.
